104 Year Old WWII Vet Honored by MOAA Greenville Chapter

Corporal Ralph Conte joined the Army in 1942 and served as part of the 94th Infantry Division, 301st Infantry, Company F. On Sept. 8, 1944, he landed on Utah Beach in Normandy 95 days after D-Day. After two weeks on the front lines, he was hit by shrapnel and later received a Purple Heart for his injury. [Greenville Journal]
