COL Samuel J Tilden Boone Chaplain USA Retied, started his military career after completing his Basic Training at Fort Jackson, on July 12, 1972. He served 38-plus years in the Army, retiring as Commandant of the U.S. Army Chaplain Center and School on July 1, 2010. He now serves as the Director of Quality Assurance, Safety and Environmental Compliance at the Chaplain School.
He serves as the Chaplain for the Columbia Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) and is also the SC State Chaplain for MOAA. He is the Secretary – Treasurer of the SC Chapter of the Military Chaplains Association of America (MCA) and has served on the National MCA Executive Committee. Additionally, he is Chaplain for the Palmetto Chapter of the Association of the United Sates Army (AUSA).
Boone is married to the former Teresa Allen of Macon, Georgia. They make their home in Elgin, SC and will celebrate 42 years of marriage in July.

Membership

Membership is open to active duty, National Guard, Reserve, retired, and former commissioned officers and warrant officers of the following uniformed services: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
