James R. Albert retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Air Force in 1998 after a distinguished career managing several of the largest communications and computer centers in the world.  His last assignment was as a Special Assistant in the Office of the Secretary of Defense where he developed speeches and presentations about defense systems and technologies for the President, Vice-President and Secretary of Defense and other senior Defense Department officials.

After retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Albert became a senior healthcare executive for four hospital systems in Connecticut and Massachusetts and was awarded the New England Healthcare Technology Officer of the Year.  He was then selected as President of the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce, growing the organization to the second largest Chamber in the state.  Retiring for a third and final time in 2016, Mr. Albert continues to serve on several Boards, Commissions and Committees in Connecticut and South Carolina and was elected President of the Rotary Club of Bristol, CT, President of the Grand Strand Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) and Secretary of the South Carolina Council of MOAA Chapters.

Colonel Albert holds a Bachelors degree in Risk Management from the University of Connecticut and a Masters degree in Technology from The American University in Washington, DC.  He resides in Bristol, Connecticut and Murrells Inlet, South Carolina with his wife Denise where he volunteers as a Historian, Master Gardener and Tour Guide at Brookgreen Gardens.

The Albert’s have two daughters, Dr. Andrea Albert, a Physicist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, and Lisa Albert, Academic Assistant and Masters Degree recipient in Psychology at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.
